about

Location: East Dulwich                   London

Completion: 2014

Client: Private

The refurbishment and renovation of a 1930's semi detached house in a conservation area in East Dulwich.

The extensive re-planning of the basement allowed for a dramatic double height living areas with a large open plan kitchen extension forming the heart of the house connecting directly to the rear gardens.

The extension is articulated by a series of brick walls that harmonise with the brick arches to the balcony of the existing house which leads onto a new oak clad terrace.

The loft extension provides an additional bathroom and bedroom with dramatic views across London.

The garden design echoes the interior palette and design, extending the living space into the garden.
