An additional 50 cubic meters was added to a 1920s semi-detach family home to create one large sanctuary on the second floor with master bedroom, ensuite shower room and walk-in wardrobe.
The extension has a hip to gable conversion to the rear and dormer extension to both sides. The front roof is unchanged to provide visual consistency of the existing street scene. Care has been taken to design a scheme that would blend into the surroundings and be in keeping with the existing property.

Dark red roof tiles were chosen to match existing. Detailing of natural clay tiles, zinc edging and concealed gutter outlets engenders a robust and minimal contemporary design. Windows were located strategically to maximise views across tree tops and London cityscape, simultaneously ensure visual privacy on the neighbouring properties.
The interior is calm with perfectly proportioned symmetrical spaces. A delicate palette of materials feature oak, glazed tiles, fluted glass, terrazzo, brass and bronze fittings, to create an environment full of texture.
